We Should Move On

UMNO Supreme Council made a decision to suspend Datuk Ahmad Ismail for a comment he made during the Permatang Pauh by election. UMNO, represented by Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak in his capacity as Deputy President of UMNO and Deputy Prime Minister, apologized on behalf of Datuk Ahmad Ismail.

Although Datuk Ahmad Ismail refused to apologize, we all must understand that his words do not represent UMNO and the Malay community as a whole. MCA and Gerakan welcomed the apology and the suspension of Datuk Ahmad Ismail.

We must not forget that UMNO's apology publicly was a very significant event. Now, we must move on and think about our country, Malaysia. We need to progress and leave this episode behind as history.

Let us not play up the issue anymore. Enough is enough. Otherwise, it will be disrespectful of the law and UMNO's significant apology. Let the law be enforced from now on whoever that stokes racial tension.

What Datuk Ahmad wants to say or do from now on, it will only be his opinion personally. And remember, it is not a representation of UMNO or the Malay community's stand. Malaysia is a country filled with harmony and prosperity. Let it remain like that and not change the scenario in Malaysia.

Remember. UNITY !
