“I can safely say that several MCA MPs will join us soon,” he told journalists yesterday, after opening a service centre in Bayan Baru, Penang.

“It’s about time that we take over. It’s only a matter of time for us to take over. We are so close to Putrajaya,” he said to roars from some 30,000 people.“It’s very soon. I will not say how (soon). But it will happen soon.”

Anwar claimed that four parliamentarians from the ruling Barisan Nasional component parties - of whom two were from Umno - will be defecting to the opposition Pakatan Rakyat this week.

"This week, I was supposed to announce which constituency I was going to contest in and the four Barisan Nasional parliamentarians who are going to join us. As such, they've had to act now (referring to the Saiful allegations)."

According to Anwar, because of the allegations, he has had to put off the announcements.

I wonder who from MCA will crossover. The 15 MCA MPs must come out and assure us that they will not crossover.

With so many holding Government posts and the rest playing a big role in the party, will they join PKR, DAP or PAS?

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim needs to play his cards right. There is a lot of uncertainty now of whether he is telling the truth or not. Many people trust his words now but if he doesnt show any results soon, the people will get tired of him.

Again, this might affect Pakatan Rakyat's future. Pakatan Rakyat 82 MPs should focus on strengthening Pakatan Rakyat and play the role of a formidable Opposition team.

In the next General Election (2012-2013), Pakatan Rakyat then can show to the people and sing their successes in 5 Pakatan Rakyat States as well as at National level of what they did and how well they fared. The people will decide who gets to govern Malaysia, not Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Pakatan Rakyat's true challenges and objectives are reforms, democracy, judiciary, economy, education, trade and unity. Throwing all their chips in Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is a very big gamble.

Who is next in line after Anwar? I want to know as a voting Malaysian.

I told a friend of mine here that politicians are the minority and yet they are the most influential people in our lives for 5 years. The rakyat will only be powerful for one day, during the Election Day.

And that is the day we should vote wisely and determine who we want as leaders and leave aside the “entertainers”, “trouble makers” and “liars”.

The responsibility lies not in the hands of our leaders but in the hands of the people. Vote wisely and we shall get a good government, a good 5 years, and a happy life. A wrong vote will see a circus of entertainment like Malaysia now.
