Warlords are pounding the drums, The funeral is coming

Powerhouse Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has been attacking the UMNO leadership, specifically Pak Lah, since about two years ago. After his heart operation, everything toned down with Datuk Mukhriz leading the forefront of his father's work. Now, Tun is back and this time, his words are very spicy, direct.

To me, each and every Tun's words and speeches as time passes by are like nails being knocked hard in the coffin. Tun is nailing Pak Lah's coffin. But then is he alone? No. We might have Najib being buried together with Pak Lah this time. All thanks to him being a fence sitter.

Tun has continuously paved the way for Najib to go up to the highest office while taking hits himself from his past administration's work. Yet, nothing was done. With the Altantuya case being currently silent, I personally don't think Datuk Seri Najib would be an asset but instead an uncertain asset which could even be a liability to UMNO and Barisan Nasional.

And what do we have? Tun is not the only one holding the hammer and knocking the nails. We have Tengku Razaleigh in Kelantan setting up the "funeral parlour", and to read that Datuk Seri Abdul Ghani Othman will not be stopping Johor UMNO from calling for an EGM, I am not surprised to predict him to be another nail knocker too.

And the many rumours flying around that Tan Sri Muhyddin might be going for Deputy President's post, I will not be a fool to call him a fellow funeral manager for UMNO's top two most leadership. Reading TheStar on Tan Sri's comments these days about UMNO's troubles and reinventing UMNO, I guess Tan Sri is preparing to take over UMNO in the nearest future?

Intelligent comments are made by Tan Sri these days. This is different from the comments of other UMNO leaders like Datuk Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Tan Sri Mat Taib, etc. Haha.

It is also interesting to read that the new Youth and Sports Minister commenting on Dr M vs Ku Li's elections in 1987 where half the Cabinet left and where Tun only won by very few votes. Datuk Ismail Sabri Yaakob also commented that at that time, Tun did not resign. Hmm ... I don't know. Perhaps we should give Pak Lah more time with Najib to reinvent Malaysia?

But can the voters wait? Will a change in UMNO leadership and also Barisan Nasional component parties' leadership help boost BN's chances in the next edition of GE? Will it make a difference if Pak Lah is still the PM and when he no longer is ? I wonder. But one thing is for sure to surprise me. Datuk Seri Samy Vellu wants another term as MIC head !! Wow .... haha ....

Datuk Seri Lim Keng Yaik left, Tun Dr Mahathir left, Tun Dr Ling Liong Sik left. And now Datuk Seri Samy Vellu still wants another term? Haha .... the 3 out of the four Brothers of the golden era of Malaysia left .... but one remains in the scene and want to hang on to the baton of power.

Never mind about him. But for sure, the UMNO warlords are slamming the drums hard and loud. The war is coming. And some "workers" are preparing the funeral while some "workers" are hanging on and trying to stay clear off the track of "political death".

We shall wait and see. As I said earlier, patience is the key to Malaysia's interesting stories these days.

Letting the time pass me by said...

Yeah. This time around, it will be a very-very interesting senario. For years, I have seen Tun Mahathir in commanding position to solve a lot of issues, the 1988 crisis, the Anwar crisis, the currency crisis and other crisis..

Nowadays, without any "real" power and just an ordinary UMNO member, the scenario has become more interesting.. His consistency and persistent are much to admire... And when you think that he has mellow down, he rise up again with surprises....
