Tan Sri Isa Samad

Barisan Nasional made the decision to field Tan Sri Isa Samad, a former Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan, as candidate for Bagan Pinang State Seat.

Though Tan Sri Isa Samad was said to be involved in money politics, one blogger have released a series of articles to refute the turn of events related to Tan Sri Isa Samad during Pak Lah's tenure as Prime Minister.

1. Konspirasi terhadap Isa Samad : Prequel
2. Konspirasi terhadap Isa Samad : Sandiwara Lembaga Disiplin
3. Konspirasi terhadap Isa Samad : Pilihan Raya 2004
4. Konspirasi terhadap Isa Samad : Di Sebalik Tabir (Akhir)

To see why Tun Dr Mahathir did not agree with the choice of Tan Sri Isa Samad as the candidate for Bagan Pinang, just see an example of the headlines - Is Isa Samad the best BN can give voters ? (Malaysiakini).

What more to say other pro Pakatan blogs ?

One tend to forget that the well supported "Prime Minister in waiting" Anwar Ibrahim was also convicted of corruption and abuse of power charges.

I used to point this out a lot to my friends and relatives but the argument of the people are always the same - Anwar Ibrahim has changed.

So why not for Tan Sri Isa Samad ? Can he not be a revived and a new person after getting disciplined for breaching Party election rules ?

Money politics is a very wide net and the definition is hard to be outlined. Sometimes it is used for political assassination.

It is indeed a highly controversial term and it was even used in the recent PAS leadership struggle when the former Dewan Ulama Chief claimed that some candidates were giving out gifts and dinner to members.

Whatever it is, Barisan Nasional has decided and Tan Sri Isa Samad is the choice.

It is the people's power in Bagan Pinang that decides. Others can say all the want but the direct stake holders are the rakyat of Bagan Pinang.

If he wins in the Election and he is the people's choice, will the rest of the non Bagan Pinang folks come out to congratulate Isa and respect the decision of the rakyat ?

Or are the supporters and leaders of the Opposition a bunch of hypocrites ?

Those PR people and their supporters simply slam with looking at themselves. They thought that they are cleaner than clean but conveniently forgotten that Anwar Ibrahim and Lim Guan Eng are ex-convicts. Why didn't they make an issue out of it.

There are many such asshole in at Meiyen blog especially WMW...

Yes, the voter's voice is supreme. But in the eyes of the voters who will be voting in a prevalent anti-BN mood, Isa's good deeds do not necessarily wipe away past misdeeds.

Anwar and Isa are two different political breeds and thus are not that comparable. Anwar was driving on the coattail of a sweeping anti-BN sentiment in the post-GE 08 period. That sentiment is still prevalent now, and there seems to be no indication that it will go away.

Anwar's behaviour and hypocracy digust me but, like it or not, he leads a blinded, obsessive flock which still has the numbers to upset any by-election. Isa may be less dishonest and less corrupt, and very popular in Bagan Pinang, but he does not have Anwar's persona and ability to attract crowd and votes (even if by questionable means).

A win for Isa, whatever the margin of victory, will do nothing to repair UMNO's dented image, even if the image is merely perception play amongst the voters. Even if Isa wins by a huge majority, it remains a hollow one in the context of UMNO's corrupt image.

We all want the best for UMNO/BN but not to extent of repeating the same mistakes of previous by-elections. If we know we will make a mistake, why do we need to repeat it? Why court trouble? Why commit political suicide?

So Tan Sri Isa is the BN candidate for the Bagan Pinang election. Money politc is not the matter here because we need to give him total support to ensure that this time no matter what we'll win the election! That's the main priority!

The people in the PR nowadays are even brutal that they have hit Datuk Aziz in the penamaan calon today as he pass through the pakatan supporters.

So since the last General Election the PR still haven't stop from promoting their damn political agenda throughout the state their have won!

In Selangor, you can see their poster anywhere with the picture of anwar! Even in Penang also got their damn poster!

So what's up with the BN don't they want to make many poster to tell the people their political agenda?! I guess no because they won't simply waste the people money like what the PR does! Shame u pakatan! Shame!
